Big Decisions for our League

Our Board of Directors has been super engaged for the past month trying to come up with a plan for our hall. Simple renovations to the hall exterior turned into major discussions, many meetings, and significant decisions from your Board of Directors – things didn’t go according to plan, as they say! Read on to learn more.
CALL of a SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING

The Oliver Community League Board is calling a Special General Meeting (SGM) to inform league and community members of the condition of the current hall, and to begin the process of looking to the future for meeting the community’s needs with a new facility. Due to the state of the current hall, the Board has looked into the costs associated with maintaining, repairing, or demolishing the current hall, and the Board has moved to support demolition of the current facility. This SGM is intended to solicit community input and provide background for our membership on the hall’s condition and the options we have moving forward.

Canada Day Pancake Breakfast
July 1 – 9 am til 11 am

Start your Canada Day celebrations with our annual Pancake Breakfast. We will have coffee, juice, and fruit to accompany your maple syrup-laded pancakes. Join VIP’s and neighbours at this FREE event.

Due to our hall construction delays, this year we will be holding our annual Canada Day Pancake Breakfast south of Jasper (#soj) at Grace Lutheran Church. We are happy to have Grace Lutheran host us in their parking lot, and if need be, gymnasium. Special thanks to Grace Lutheran.

Again this year, we are delighted to have MLA David Shepherd sponsor our breakfast. Thank you, MLA Shepherd for your ongoing kindness.
